A Networking Event in Agri-Food Innovation

On November 12, the Université de Montréal hosted Agro-innovation: University–Industry Synergy, in partnership with Saint-Hyacinthe Technopole and the Consortium for Research and Innovation in Industrial Bioprocesses in Québec (CRIBIQ). This unique event brought together researchers from five UdeM faculties, along with professionals from the agri-food industry.

The program aimed to foster the exchange of expertise and create lasting partnerships to advance innovative agri-food solutions. Funding organizations were also in attendance to present investment opportunities to help bring projects to life.

Participants were invited to tour the laboratories of the Faculty of Veterinary Medicine, followed by a roundtable discussion on the realities of university–industry collaborative research. The day concluded with personalized networking, where attendees were matched in a “speed-meeting” format using a digital platform designed to optimize connections and synergy.
